Medical Receptionist
Appleton, WI Appleton, WI Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time From $15 an hour From $15 an hour Our primary focus at Pearle Vision is building relationships within our community by providing quality eye care and eye wear from a tenured group of trusted Optical Professionals.
As a receptionist/technician, you will play an important role in connecting the patient with the doctor by scheduling and checking in patients and provide them with guidance in selecting eye wear to suit their needs based on the doctor's recommendations.
You will also take part in quality inspections of completed eye wear and learn how to troubleshoot eye wear adaptions.
You should be comfortable in a medical office environment and be able to multitask.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
-Checking in patients to verify contact information -taking brief medical history & asking some screening questions -filing & cleaning -Training patients on contact lens care -working with insurance websites to check eligibility and verify copay amounts - collecting payments from patients -ordering contacts -scheduling appointments -follow up phone calls and appointment reminder calls -helping patients with eyewear choices and providing fashion advice -troubleshooting eyewear adaption -preparing files -guiding patients through brief vision screening tests The ideal applicant should be confident and outgoing with a general knowledge of computers and fashion.
No experience necessary, we will train the right personality.
