This is a seasonal position with the hours of Monday-Friday 8:
00-4:
30pm.

This position is located at Plamann Park in northern Appleton.
The expected start date for this role is May 6, 2024.
Key Responsibilities Assists the general public and park guests at the front desk, greeting and directing, answering questions, providing information, answering the telephone, taking messages, and redirecting calls.
Input reservations for The Hillside and other park shelters.
Schedule and conduct The Hillside viewings.
Collecting fees and issuing receipts for reservations and permits.
Issue park shelter codes by contacting renters prior to reservation.
Maintains various records such as financial reports, reservations and scheduled activities throughout the Outagamie County Parks System.
Orders office and other various departmental supplies as needed.
Various filing and scanning Performs mailing duties as needed.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Certifications/Experience Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in higher education for the fall semester.
Strong computer/software skills and ability to learn new software including knowledge of Microsoft Office Must possess a valid driver's license Required or Preferred Skills Demonstrate ability to conform to goals, policies and procedures of the Outagamie County Parks System as well as the Outagamie County Work Rules and Terms of Employment.
Knowledge of office practices and ability to use office equipment such as computers, tablets, copier, telephone, calculator, etc.
Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in performing general clerical duties.
Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
Ability to work semi-independently, make sound decisions and practice good judgement.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain effective relationships with coworkers and deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
