The department offers community diversion programming for criminal justice offenders, coordinates activities for the alternative treatment courts and provides programs that facilitate treatment, education and employment resources for jail inmates.

Now hiring for a Part Time Inmate Resources Coordinator position.
The Inmate Resources Coordinator counsels clients, providing information and referrals to various community and other resources.
Recruits and supervises volunteers.
The hours for this role are held between Monday-Friday 8:
00 AM -4:
30 PM and can vary.
This position is 28 hours/week.

These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
Other duties may be required and assigned.
Interviews clients, providing assistance, counseling, and referral.
Assigns and recommends programs.
Makes referrals to community resources such as AODA, Employment Agencies, Health and Human Services, Family Services, etc.
Follows up with client.
Develops, monitors, and evaluates contracts of rehabilitation as required by judges.
Follows up on individual contract objectives.
Provides case management services.
Maintains liaison with Probation Agents, Courts, Sheriff's department and others for those under contract and court order.
Supports volunteers who lead programs and provide one on one services, providing guidance and suggestions.
Recruits and supervises volunteers, providing orientation services and support throughout volunteer assignments.
Attends Advisory Board meetings, training sessions, etc.
Maintains active volunteer roster and other records.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance, works overtime/extra hours as required.
Education/Certifications/Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Social Work, or a related field.
Three to five years criminal justice experience.
Or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Required or Preferred Skills Communicate effectively with clients, interns, Judges, court officials, Sheriff's staff, Corrections Officers, Police Officers, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and others verbally and in writing.
Ability to assign, supervise, and review the work of others.
Comprehend and interpret a variety of documents including Court, client, and other records, psychological evaluations, State and other statutes and regulations, etc.
Prepare a variety of documents including Court reports and studies, client records, statistical reports, letters, and other correspondence.
Use and interpret medical, legal, and counseling terminology.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate decimals and percent's, and make use of the principles of descriptive statistics.
