# Job Summary
The primaryresponsibilities of the Instructional Designer/Technologist position are to assist and consult with business partners on the assessment, identification, design/development (primarily eLearning development), implementation, and evaluation of training programs for the organization. Within these responsibilities are the duties to recommend, design and develop effective learning/performance solutions, including instructional materials for alternative delivery methods and compliance/non-compliance curriculum development.
Job Responsibilities
Design and develop training materials (primarily online curriculum), and resources.
Analyze and create course content, and assess effectiveness of learning interaction, and train the trainer activities
Share responsibility for identifying and applying appropriate instructional design techniques and adult learning methodologies based on the business partners objectives and or learning strategy
Develop training for synchronous online and asynchronous online delivery
Educate and coach internal business partners on applicable activities and rapid learning strategies to promote and enhance a learner centric experience
Partner with subject matter experts on content/data collection, training objectives and the overarching approach for the learning
Assist with the delivery of instructor-led training courses (rare once a year)
Job Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree, Master's degree preferred, in instructional design-development-technology or a related field
Three plus years of Instructional Designer/courseware development for multiple media
Possess online training-authoring tool
Experience: Captivate 4, 5.5; Articulate, Articulate Storyline, and other applicable eLearning tools
A highly successful track record with significant professional experience in either (i) financial services compliance or (ii) an employee-facing/online training and education organization
Possess exceptional presentation, writing, and teaching skills along with general communication skills
Possess a thorough understanding of current training and delivery methods and techniques, with an emphasis on (i) training media and application (including print, audio, video and computer-based), (ii) training methodologies (including self-directed, instructor led training, train-the-trainer programs), and (iii) adult education methodologies and techniques
MS Office proficiency is required
Project management experience
Advanced MS Office Skills
