## Job Description
Job Description : This individual will be responsible for electrical calibration, and back up for installation and troubleshooting of automated test equipment.
Duties include but are not limited to: This position will be responsible for the calibration of all test equipment used at Miller Electric and TEO, as well as some outsource vendors. Responsible for the record keeping and scheduling of calibrations using calibration software. Responsible for repairs on the test equipment. Will work closely with engineers on the purchase of new test equipment. Work with vendors of off-shelf test equipment. Design, fabrication, install, troubleshooting, repair of test panels & test equipment ,Build and Wire test equipment from schematic and wiring diagrams
## Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
Associate Degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or Electrical Instrumentation required. Must be a self-starter and work with limited supervision.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a team player.
Must be willing to attend Calibration Training on an annual on-going basis to stay up to date with current certifications in calibration.
Limited Travel Required
The candidate must have the ability to work from elevated platform surfaces
The candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot using good safe electrical work practices
The candidate must have experience having worked successfully with vendor/supplier relationships
Proven track record of attention to detail, good follow thru and effective resolution to problems
Requires the ability to work in a fast paced- high demanding environment
Willingness to crosstrain with building/installing test panel installations
Ability to prioritize and make appropriate decisions
Self starter and a team player
Able to communicate effectively, in a professional manner with customers.
Communicate using verbal and written skills in ways that honor diversity.
Practice safe work habits.
Knowledgeable in basic mathematical skills, up to and including trig- geometry
Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Understand the basic principles of troubleshooting
Thorough understanding of Ohms Law and how it relates to various circuits for troubleshooting
Familiarity experience with Microsoft Office products,( i.e. Excel, Word)
The successful candidate will be familiar with electrical installations (i.e. building/assembling panels electrical equipment and NFPA 70E (Arc Flash)
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Flexibility to work unscheduled/short notice overtime
