This is a Data Integrity Engineer in Structural/Mechanical Engineering for Final Phase Completions. Responsibilities primarily involve reviewing engineering designs of new and derivative versions of interior furnishings and amenities as part of outfitting new aircraft. Examples include custom cabinetry such as galleys, lavatories, closets, storage compartments, interior peripheries, water/waste systems, entertainment equipment installations, and seating installations. Data Integrity Engineer will review design work created using either AutoCAD or CATIA V5. Data Integrity Engineer will ensure design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods, along with design intent to form, fit and function. Assignments are executed under the direction of the Structural/Mechanical Engineering Group Head to meet the manufacturing schedule.
Bachelors degree in engineering, a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. See Other Requirements in Job Description.18 months related engineering experience with Bachelors, or less than 18 months engineering experience with Masters or PhD.
Aircraft completion experience desired. Catia V5 and AutoCAD experience required. SmarTeam experience desired. Strong knowledge of aircraft and cabin interior mechanical design, including cabinet fabrication, materials and processes highly desired. Experience as Design Checker/Data Integrity a plus.
