POSITION SUMMARY
Utilize Demand Solutions and the I-series software to analyze and manage activities involved with maintaining proper inventory levels at all designated locations for assigned product lines. Fulfill all Buying responsibilities as defined on the Inventory Group Procedure Checklist.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and plan purchase orders for assigned product lines utilizing Demand Planning Software
Forecast future demand on assigned product lines using Demand Planning Software
Communicate with vendors to confirm product or service information such as product availability and delivery schedules
Determine method of procurement such as direct purchase or product transfer
Ensure that pricing, quantity and delivery terms on purchase orders is accurate
Expedite delivery of goods
Balancing inventory of assigned products across locations
Collaborate with other job functions such as pricing, category management, warehouse operations and finance
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Business, a related field, or the equivalent experience
3-5 years experience in purchasing and/or replenishment in a related industry
Excellent analytical, problem solving, process improvement, communication, and organizational abilities
Skilled in computer software demand planning applications
Able to deal with a variety of people and situations in a positive, open-minded, and results oriented manner
Detail, results, and team oriented as well as professional under stress
Fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
